One of the most prominent and brilliant political cartoonists in Honduras, Allan McDonald (don't be fooled by the name- he IS Honduran), is reported to have been kidnapped by the armed forces along with his 17-month-old daughter, Abril.

FUIMOS ATACADOS CON DISPAROS, GASES Y CON TODA LA BRUTALIDAD DE LOS MILITARES...ESTA PROTESTA SE HA ESTADO REALIZANDO PACÍFICAMENTE POR ORGANIZACIONES POLÍTICAS Y POPULARES EN RECHAZO AL GOLPE DE ESTADO FASCISTA ENCABEZADO POR MICHELETTI BAIN Y SUS SECUACES.

Today the thousands of Hondurans protesting outside the presidential residence have been ferociously and bloodily repressed. We were attacked with bullets, tear gas, and all the brutality of the military forces...This protest has been carried out peacefully by political and popular organizations in rejection of the fascist coup d'etat carried out by Michaletti Bain and his minions.

We want the international media to take note of this situation, since the media blockout prevents the rest of the Honduran people and the world that this de facto government is committing repressive acts and that we hold Mr. Roberto Micheletti Bain responsible for any harm, disappearance, or assassination that is carried out against one of our compatriots.
