FNRP reaches 944,330 signatures on the Declaration of Sovereignty

Tegucigalpa August 22, 2010. Today the National Popular Resistance Front reached 944,330 signatures, on the Declaration of Sovereignty demanding a Popular and Inclusive Constituent Assembly, in the last count carried out in the city of San Pedro Sula.

The commission, headed up by professor Eulogio Chávez and the lawyer Rasel Tome, informed the Honduran people that 225,464 new signatures had been collected in the North Coast departments of Yoro, Cortes and Santa Bárbara.

In the previous FNRP count, 718,866 signatures were counted, calling for the unconditional return of President Manuel Zelaya Rosales, Father Andrés Tamayo and all Hondurans in exile.

"Each signature is a rejection of the government of Porfirio Lobo Sosa and this oligarchy" said Tomé to the hundreds of San Pedro residents gathered outside the offices of Radio Uno.

The result was announced on the Resistencia radio program of journalist Felix Molina, and transmitted by Radio Globo in Tegucigalpa.

The FNRP has set a goal for September of the collection of one million, 250 thousand signatures of the Declaration of Sovereignty to convene a National Constituent Assembly.

Tegucigalpa 22 de agosto de 2010. El Frente Nacional de Resistencia Popular llegó hoy, a 944 mil 330 firmas, de la Declaración Soberana por la Constituyente Popular Incluyente y Participativa, en el último conteo realizado en la ciudad de San Pedro Sula.

La comisión encabezada por el profesor Eulogio Chávez y el abogado Rasel Tome, informaron al pueblo hondureño la recolección de 225 mil 464 firmas, recogidas en los departamentos de la zona norte del país, Yoro, Cortes y Santa Bárbara.

En el conteo anterior el FNRP, contabilizó 718,866 firmas, con las que se exige el retorno incondicional del Presidente Manuel Zelaya Rosales, el Padre Andrés Tamayo y todos los hondureños en el exilio.

“Cada firma es un rechazo al gobierno de Porfirio Lobo Sosa y a esa oligarquía” dijo Tome, a los centenares de sampedranos reunidos en las cercanías de Radio Uno.

El resultado fue anunciado a través del Programa Resistencia, que dirige el Periodista Felix Molina, transmitido por Radio Globo de Tegucigalpa.
El FNRP, tiene como meta para el mes de septiembre, la recolección de un millón 250 mil firmas soberanas para convocar a una Asamblea Nacional Constituyente.
